(BlenRig) The Dance of the Bashful Dwarf

HI all, well, I finished my first animation using Blenrig. Hope you like it.

It's done in Blender, and ORB for the displacement map baking.

watchthis looked at his weiner. hahaha. His hair is too stiff though, and I think his penis would flap around quite a bit more with that amount of movement. The deformation and animation is amazing quality though, I'd expect nothing less from the the creator of blenrig.

you guys and his pee-pee, what, feeling insecure? I think it was hilarious. Although he is SUCH a bad dancer, but that is just like a dwarf would be. If was a Smurf, now, he would be an excellent dancer...and you would not have to worry about the pee=pee thing.

haha, thanks guys!!! There many things that could surely be better, like the hair, too stiff. But I was in a hurry, I wanted to make it for the Siggraph call. By the way, I think I didn't make it....
Besides, I wanted to finish the animation and deliver the first BlenRig results to the community, and the rendering was really slow, so I decided not to mind about certain details.

Hahahahaha... have your balls dropped yet? I thought the hair looked nice, but is there a way for it to be affected by movement? I don't know that much about the physics in blender.

I don't think physics are really necessary for animating the hair, as it can be perfectly done by animating the curve objects that influence the hair strands.

Basse: when you animate the rig you have to care about just the basic bones. All the other extra or muscle bones are constraint driven.

Edit: the animation is ''shape key'' free, that means that its fully based on bone deformation, including tha facial animation.

note: yesterday I finished adjusting the Rig to another mesh, a cartoon character of mine. It was a hard work, I spent like 12 hours solving difficulties, but in the end I could get it right. From all those problems that arose, also new tips on how to setup the rig came to my mind. I´ll include them in the next release of the manual.

The rig and manual should be available (packed together - one without the other will be a headache!) in my sig. I played around with it myself, but didn't find the dwarf's skin, only bones and eyes. What layer is it on?

Its great and all, but you should really add a disclaimer in the title. My little sister was definitely in the room and saw hairy dwarf penis. So that should be somewhere in your post "Caution: penis in video" or something to that effect.

I have corrected some hair issues (armpit) , and made some minor lighting fix.

Although there are many aspects that could be better, this will be the last version of the animation. I have to start with other projects now.

Jpbouza maybe make some version that it is censored like a towel that skips at the end and that will do some censorship all audience accessible.

Only a hint the animation it is ok maybe you can exaggerate the movement of "dance" a little more.

Actually, this was just a test for my BlenRig (http://www.jpbouza.com.ar), I don´t think I´ll be doing any other version of the dance.
The animation could definitely be better, but I did it for the Siggraph convention (I didn´t make it on time anyway), so i was in quite a hurry, there were many aspects that were left behind. Plus, it took more than a week to render....hehe, that´s the main reason why I will not be modifying it in any way.

But for the ´´Artistic´´ part, hehe, he has to be naked that´s the joke!!!!
