I need to swap a bunch of textures on the same mesh/material, so im hoping i can call textures by channel index (on a blender material) with videotex.

there is a textureID arguement;

Quote:

				textureID Texture index in case of multi-texture channel, 0 = first channel by default. In case of UV texture, this parameter should always be 0.

but, it doesnt actually seem to work as i expected it too.
the release notes page also states;

Quote:

				VideoTexture.materialID()...In case of Blender material, it grabs the material that has an image texture channel matching the name as first channel.

i was hoping that first chan bit was default and could be overridden by textureID, but apparently not.

anyone know the deal here? am i using it wrong?, is it not what i think it is?, is it just not hooked up yet?

is there anyway to access the other chans directly or am i going to need to use a bunch of swap objects, each using just the one texture im interested in?

I was wondering if it would be possible to change the location of a keyframe on the NLA timeline using a property, let's say i got a keyframe at frame 10 and my property value set to 10 and if i change the property to 20 it changes the keyframes position in the timeline to 20. Also I would like to know if i can make something that would randomly choose to activate one of two actuators and have it be controlled by percents. For example actuator1 has a 72% chance to activate and actuator2 has a 28% chance to activate, also i would like this to be controlled by a property so i can change it in game. (unless you know a different way of doing it) Well if anyone can answer these questions... You will make me very happy:D

Hello guyssssssssssssss!! this be me again :P

this time i got htis problem:
i have a "library" of actions (animations) on an object (mesh). What i need to do is to play them from a script.

Ill give u the big picture (very)

We are doing a simulation of a lab rat; and i have a log that records where the rat moves and what conduct is it doing at any time (standing, grooming, cleaning... etc). The log looks at something like this:

Code:

second     position        conduct
1               x3,y3,z0      A
2               x5,y3,z0      A
3               x7,y3,z0      B
4               x4,y3,z0      B
5               x1,y3,z0      C
...

And i got a piece of script that creates an IPO curve for hte rat that moves the entire body though scene. But i also need to animate the conducts!!!! D:

so i got a premade library with actions that if i could incorporate someone those animations into the IPO curve that moves the rat, i would be happy! :D

so any ideas?

My objects move well but very so often an action will be triggered (turning action) but will not turn I have it set so when the action is triggered the rot motion will be triggered as well
This only happens with turning actions My objects have about 4 actions Please look at the image to see how i set everything up. Both turning actions are on a positive pulse not sure if that matters but i have tired lots of different setups and still sometimes an action is triggered but not the motion hope this makes sense

Hello!
I'm wondering if anyone else is having problems with animating material or texture settings in the game engine. As i have tried but its not working at all. Is this a bug or something?
Would be great to know if it is possible so im not wasting my time checking ive got it all right.
I am using blender 2.53.
I have added a material and uv image texture to a plane and a f-curve actuator and created f-curves for the alpha value. The actuator in 2.49 used to have to set the ipo to use but now theres no setting?

Also on another topic, i was wondering if anyone knows the best mapping technique for skydomes. Ive created one in stereographic or mirror ball format but what is the best way to map it without getting distortion around the horizon?
Thanks for any info :)

Incase anyones interested Flaming Pears flexify and panotools plugins for photoshop are very usefull for creating skydomes, hdrshop is good too and standalone.
