Render animation best settings for youtube

Ok I want to upload a movie to youtube. I have seen so many different settings Avi Jpeg, Mpeg 1,2,3,4 (and inside format there is H264, xvid, avi…) Really there are a lot of options.

My question is what is the best setting to render my movie? With and without audio?

Well when you upload, part of it is converting to FLV. so if you already have it in FLV, i would bet you could save some time. as for size, idk. mostly I use DVD quality (720x480) and it seems to work quite nicely.

so the video/animation setting should be FFMpeg and then in the video tab chage it to FLV and then on audio, click the top button and i would put MP3.

hope that helped

Here’s a link to the recommended file formats for YouTube:

mp4 as container,
H.264 codec,

is working quite well here…

What setting gives you mp4 as container in Blender?

Thanks
