Schedule
The format for the meetup is still somewhat “fluid”.
We may have an experienced 2d traditional animation director talk about how to organize a real project, and the role of 3d and 2d work in a production. He is planning to use Blender in future projects (ed: I convinced him ;-).
Simple, intermediate, advanced demos, and/or tutorial work-groups on an ad-hoc basis!
13:00 - 14:00 introductions, round table discussion
14:00 - 17:00 Tutorials, short presentations of work, small workshops for beginners and intermediate/advanced users.
Other info
10 Workstations (Windows) with Blender and all other ‘mainstream’ 3d/2d software installed are available, as well as a projector. Whiteboard is also present.
I am excited and envious…only because I loved Vancouver when I visited last, and I like the people. I only wish I could go as well…The pacific northwest is becoming a Veritable Blender Stronghold! Let us Conquer! XD
I’ve been attending since October.
Its been a while since there’s been any updates here, and I’m not sure if this thread is going to continue (I see no reason not to), but anyone who does not want to register with yet another website to get information, here you go. From Meetup:

It’s pretty informal, mostly sharing hints, tips and and getting to know other users in the area. You are not alone. There are ten workstations, running Blender (usually latest from Graphicall.org), plus Maya, 3DS Max, and maybe one or two others. Also a projector and tables to set up a laptop if you have one.
