Not really a big project :eyebrowlift: Posted on BlenderSwap: http://www.blendswap.com/3D-models/misc-objects/lighter-2/
Someone might find it useful…

Here is a freestyle version:

it is so close to real. very good !

Very good, congratulations!

Thanks!!! I realized that my modeling skills are way too weak for my ideas :). So I plan to do more of those things that someone can use in their scene. That way I will practice and contribute to community (not much but better than nothing).

Very nice!

All but the first lighter look very realistic, and the first one seems odd only because I’ve never seen one actually that transparent with the center tube quite that prominent. Maybe a little underexposed, too, with not much specular action going on. (Honestly, I might just say, "it’s a rather uninteresting photograph, even if it really were a photograph of a real lighter.)

The other images immediately and handily “pass eye-muster” to the effect that, “yep, that’s a real lighter, well photographed.” Exactly what you want.

Thanks!!!
Yea the first one is pretty bad… I only added it to showcase the model. I used HDR Giveaway by zbyg http://browse.deviantart.com/?qh=&section=&global=1&q=HDR+Giveaway+by+zbyg#/d1lzo9m with only one additional light in all three scenes so first one is “underlighted”.
BTW it is a great pack with dozens of HDR images very useful for quick lighting of models.
Also the glossy “floor”, worked very well in other two, but ruined the first.
