I know there is a lot of hardware enthusiast out there using Blender who spend a lot of time tinkering with their computers. So why don't we start collecting some data on Cycles performance using a single test scene.

Nice initiative Mike! Btw, the image on first post is nice with flares, but maybe it would be better if you used an output from this test for more realistic expectations?

Riofranco, your number seems okay if you compare it with the other i7s (spacetug's), although to be fair, i think both of your number are a tad low. See san's numbers
drobbins: try updating your driver from nvidia.com. ALso, make sure you are using blender 2.61.
doublebishop: not a bad idea. You can try creating a Google Doc. I'll add it to the initial post. Nice time btw.
