XNALara and Blender 2.6

Hi, I’m relatively new to this forum and I’m having some trouble.

What I want to do is import an XNALara model into Bender but I can’t find any way to import a .dds, .mesh or .mesh.ascii file. The XNALara forums say “export from XNA in OBJ format, import to Blender, profit” seems legit… exept I tried to run XNA and it fails, I tried it on my laptop (64bit Win7 but specs are kinda lame) as I thought maybe it just can’t work on a tower running 32bit XP sp3 but no dice either. So I’m wondering if anyone knows an importer that will take the above file types and load em or a way to convert them to a readable type for blender to use that doesn’t consist of “export from XNA…”

ps. I am willing to use prev versions of blender if I need to, to use import scripts that only work in pre 2.6 Blender. Also, I can’t install/repair my XNA Framework because it causes my pc to crash like I just pulled the plug and my .NET is the most recent as are all my other drivers.

same… but I keep getting redirected to http://www.mediafire.com/sephirostoy#tzmtxc9bs492l
and the script files there, Blender simply refuses to recognize
It’s driving me bat sh*t crazy!

If you can get those scripts to work on Blender 2.6, please, for the love of God, PLEASE tell me how!

:edit: sorry for not rly explaining in the original post… I’ve got a cold and was dozing off while typing…

I can get the models exported to Blender as OBJ format, but then I have to re rig them and put all the textures back on them… it’s extremely annoying (not to mention I can’t rig crap to save my life)
I’ve seen several tutorials that reference the scripts in the above link… apparently in .mesh.ascii format they import the textures and rigging along with the model… but for the life of me, I can’t get Blender to recognize those scripts!

I don’t know… maybe an older version of Blender would recognize them or an older version of python… I don’t know… Can’t rly get anyone to answer my questions…

Here’s the link to the tutorial I first saw it on:

Sorry I’m late to the party here, but I found this link: http://www.tombraiderforums.com/showthread.php?t=173087

Scroll down the page and you’ll find a link to a 2.5 script that works very well with 2.62. I won’t get into how to get the model from XNALara – you probably have figured that out already.
