… you play as the Japanese military.

WARNING
This game mostly serves to confuse the player.
But it stays true the the movies - where the military has very little impact.

Mechanics on paper, monster models “done”, and prematurely created the intro scenes…

Not sure if I’ll be able to finish this… I mean, physically I could - but the concept is absolutely terrible.
We’ll see what tomorrow holds.

Made it so multiple monsters can fight to the death, even though the game will only use 2.
There’s a few more attacks that need defining, then I’ll need to figure out some way of making the player feel useful.
Perhaps I’ll add a sandbox if there’s time. < 22-April-2013: There wasn’t time

21-April-2013 - Mission Failure
Had a logistical breakdown (files on the wrong computer) so I wont be able to produce a finished product in time.
It was fun though. And I might release late anyway, just so people can experience the full glory of this game.

Turns out there was a deleted copy in Dropbox. Huzzah!

Download
It’s set to GLSL, but should work if you change to texture face manually.

Everything about this game is CC0 - models, scripts, name, everything

It’s… er… finished! Download link in post #1.
Controls: Point the mouse where you want to fire. No clicking necessary.
The quality is questionable… no sound either, sorry :S

Yea, sorry but that is not close to done. I’d say label it as updates, it’s usually not entirely good to output unfinished work as “finished”.

Control wise it’s looking good but you can do much more.
Keep at it, don’t give up.

i think that when he says “finished” he means he wont be working on it anymore, so he considers it finished…

Indeed, I’m very much done with it.
But you’re correct: It’s far from being a finished game.

Although I did complete everything that was on the design document.
It was a very under-ambitious project.

So yes, this one is going to the pit of shame. However I’m still developing the BGMC7 entry which shall be fully amazing in many ways.

Can’t wait to see the entry
