Here is my entry on BG competition. I think that’s a good idea to post it here as well.
I’ve managed to do it almost within a month:)
Render in Cycles and BI(smoke) and some major postprocess in Photoshop.

Wonderful render!
This was very well done and a good likeness of Freddie. They (Queen) were a huge group when I was in high school. The only thing that sticks out to me is the lack of shadows from the spotlight.
