Image in 3D view not same in render

Hello everyone!

Im really new to the animation aspect of blender and have been trodding along fine with the help of the community and youtube. I have been making a simple car impact animation that is a top-down view of the impact. I have the plane have the texture of the impact area shown during 3d view to help align the vehicles, but as soon as I render the image of the background image I was using as reference for placement of the vehicles is now skewed! Aside from using image mapping to crop it and adjust it all around which is tedious guess work how can I just have the render look like what I am dealing with in 3D view.

Thanks alot!

Next time share your problematic scene, otherwise we’re just guessing here.

Hi timmyboy,

try to use ortographic view instead of perspective view in the camera settings.
This should help to align the proper view.
If you only want to render your viewport try the little camera button at the bottom of your viewport.
