I would like to record some blender modeling. Which software would be fine?

Blender is a bad choice when you want to record voice too. And is limited to Blender.

I have used screen recorder gold for Windows based screen casting. But it really only works when you havexVid codec installed as well. I typically set audio to 22K mono when using that system.
CamStudio 2.7, but be very careful about which one you download. Some of them aren’t official (even the ones on CamStudio’s home page!!), and contain a ton of bloatware, possibly even a virus. I downloaded from SourceForge, I think: http://sourceforge.net/projects/camstudio/
Action is fantastic and only $30, not free, but dirt cheap.
Linux - ffmpeg. Windows - FFSplit.
If you are using Windows ‘FastStone Capture’ is twenty dollars with lifetime updates. And, not only will it do it all, video, stills, etc. but also allow editing. And, all this with amazing resolution. Audio is no problem since it will record your speakers or a mic. And, for anyone wanting to do tutorials it is outstanding. Honestly the resolution is so sharp you will wonder if it’s second generation. And, god knows it’s better then what Blender has onboard.
