I am looking for good character animation tutorials for a beginner. Does anyone know where I can find something decent to get me going? I bought the book, but it really is not a big help.

what level do you need? There are a couple of really good articles on non-Blender specific Pose to Pose animation techniques I will find the links too.

But if you are still at the “how do I add an armature to my mesh” stage, then you need to read the stuff at BlenderChar http://blenderchar.weirdhat.com/ first probably.
Oh and that Mr Potato Head one was pretty good. Can’t find it at the moment but I have it at home.
Also check through the stuff in the Blender Animation forum right here at elysiun. Also check the Tutorials sticky thread at the top of this forum.
