LMB on MAC does not initiate or confirm action BLENDER 2.72

I’m new to blender using MAC OS 10.6 (home computer) and need some help on proper settings for my Left Mouse Bottom. For some reason my LMB does not take initiate or confirm the action. I’m using a Logitech MX series . I test this mouse at work where I also use Blender with a PC and have no problems at all. This is exactly what I do:
I select the Vertex, edges or faces with the RMB, then I tried to use the manipulator gizmo (x,y,z) with LEFT button and does not apply or do anything?

Any MAC users or help will be appreciate, Thank you for your time.

Confused a bit.
Try: file menu / load factory settings. See if it works. This is temporary as long you don’t save as default.
