After rendering Blender makes .dvd file -Help-

Hey guys,

I’ve just started with Blender as a Video Editing program (VSE), so I’m pretty new in this world, but I encountered some troubles and I hope you can help me fix it.
One of them is that after I’ve made a video and I rendered it, Blender makes it a .dvd file.
I’ve set Output to AVI JPEG, and I’ve tried nearly all the output options, but it stays a .dvd. file after rendering, and nearly no program can handle this kind of file.
Can somebody help me with making it a ‘normal’ file (Avi, mp4, Mpeg) instead of that weird .dvd?

If you are convinced that the encoding settings are ok, try changing the extension to something more appropriate. Like .avi or .mpg or .mov ?

Check your Encoding settings. The Output panel is only half the story when you’re rendering video.
