This is a character that i am doing at the moment.
The purpose of this is to create a flat shade with freestyle.

I think you’re onto something. I’ve been trying to get a similar style for a while now. Can you explain how you were to get such clear, non-black shadows?
Also love the sketch effect on that recent picture.
You can change the colour of the shadows from black to a greyish colour, so they are not so dark.
