Dark Edges on Renderlayers

So I’m creating this image, and I split the minifigure, ground, and red brick into separate renderlayers so I could tweak each one. But when I put it back together in the node editor, each layer has a dark edge to it (you can especially see it on the border of the ground and sky, and his right hand).
I do have depth-of-field on, could this be the problem?

Better-guess for “edges” is anti-aliasing.

Do you know the reason why this works, and not adding them with a “mix” node, with"include alpha of second input" checked?

As the name suggests, you would mix the Antialiasing and does not deduct.
