Importing .Obj to Blender with Textures Intact

Hi All,
Recently I’ve been buying models off Turbosquid to use in my photo composites, and I really want to be able to import them and just use them the way they look in the sample files. When I buy the models they say they have textures, though when I import they don’t have any. The downloads come with a .obj file and a .mtl file, though I’m really stuck on how to apply the textures.
I’ve been googling my situation for a while, and can’t seem to find any information directly relating to my problem, aside from re-texturing from scratch.
Can anyone help me please?
Thanks in advance.

Check the imported scene frr any textures that may not be showing by default.
Check the materil setting to ensure the transparent option has not been enabled for the imported material. If it has disable it
Open the .mtl file in a text editor. This gives the file path to the textures. Is it correct
Have you downloaded any texture files. If you don’t have any textures speak to the person you bought it off
Have you set blender to be using the Blender Renderer, If you are using cycles renderer, change it back.
Have you set the .obj importer settings to include textures
If you have the texture files, just add them manually to the object
