Out for a Waltz

Hey Blender Community

I would like to present you my latest finished project in Blender.
When I first started I was not sure what to expect due to my lack of experience with sculpting, but I guess it turned out quite well.
I used just like 2 image textures. The skin texture is completely procedural.
Took me some caffeinated night shifts and it still is not perfect, but I would like to call it finished now.

Blender was used for everything (Some minor tweaks were done in PS)

Unfortunately my GPU was not capable of a full sized render tho:/

So here is the final render:

and here is a clay render:

and here a render of the hand itself:

I hope you like it, feel free to leave some feedback or ask me anything about my working process!:eyebrowlift2:

Great one! Lots of feeling and emotion!

Damn this is great… it’s 5 stars for me :)… at first i thinks this is the photo reference…

Nice - The hands looks great!

Out for a Waltz playing “Waltz the Moon”? ah ah, very nice render!

Good one! Finally a piano that is played instead of all the ones for “display”.

Great Idea, materials, textures and models. wonderful job

Lovely render! Can I see the node setup for the skin?

This is simply great! Good job!

So wonderful… The hands are just perfect.

Thank you all for the nice feedback:)

The node setup ended up kind of messy, but here it is:

Was a lot of adjusting, but I think you can get the logic of my shading process with this.
The node wrangler addon is just a life saver:D

Perfecto!!!

Super nice hand render!

This is stunning! Looks real. If I may ask: What are Your camera settings? Was all post-process done using PS?

So realistic! Great work!

Beautiful, I tried to make a hand for my latest work but it was meh, so I’m very jealous of what you just made.

Great job. I like the hands details!

Thanks all:)
The camera has 50 mm focal length and obviously some DoF, the rest is just standard

I used PS only for some very subtle light effects…the rest of the post was done in blender. Only basics, nothing too fancy (Just some Dispersion, Vignette, Color Balance) I mainly used the color management for adjustment

Great work! :open_mouth:

Respect. Awesome work!
