linking an entire Scene limitations?

It is unsurprisingly difficult to get correct search results for ‘linking to a scene’ :slight_smile:
I had the thought of creating different scenes (call them ‘winter’ and ‘summer’) in a file then linking to those scenes elsewhere.
However, everything is greyed out and I can’t put anything new into the scene and I can’t find any way to make anything local nor force a proxy state. Basically, all I can do is render that scene.

Anything I have overlooked that would make linking an entire scene useful? If not then my whole plan goes into the trash bin :frowning:

Try append instead of link.

Link it and use it as background for another scene.
