Helge, looks like adverse effects is going to take the prize, but I also think your ‘kick me’ penguin entry would have won too! Definitely made me laugh, I guess it’s off topic though. Where did the penguin meme come into place, maybe we need to take it to task and devote a week to it!:eek: Great entries all.

Soo… does this mean penguins are the ideal strategy now?
Also, I have a question for next week. Would using Pixar’s Renderman Blender plugin make the entry “Open” or would it be considered “Pure” because it was still made in blender?

Using penguins in the WEC is like going for rock in rock,paper,scissors – nothing beats it. 
Almost exactly a year to the day I was working on a toon scene, abandoned now… 
I do not know from where all these penguins are coming, but this was one of my first jobs learning Blender

I guess you are right - the penguins are a little off topic. On the other hand, the four guys on the right are definitely not going to tell the one on the left. 
If I had known how long the adverse effects would keep me busy, I would probably have stuck to my first idea on this theme - the kick me penguins - in the first place.

DoriNori and astiero probably didn’t know what they were starting two weeks ago… I may not be completely innocent in the current outbreak, but I’m not feeling too guilty about it! A penguin week/weekend could be fun. Maybe I can do something about that
@DoriNori: It is a good strategy - you can’t argue with that.
Regarding Renderman: As far as I can tell, the rules are not very specific on this topic. Actually, the render engine isn’t mentioned at all. So, if you name it within the entry thread, that should be ok. Other than that:
If you can honestly say to yourself, “Yes, I mainly used Blender to make this”, then the entry is Pure.’
sound like a reasonable rule of thumb.
@RobertT: Over ten years! Very nice This really never gets old.
@Photox,YAFU: Penguins fit just everywhere. As The Dude wisely put it: “That penguin really tied the room together.”
Maybe I should have set mine to pure. Everything was done in Blender with the exception of the final assembly. Oh well.
Next week I am going to try to model either an orca or a seal. I think these penguins need some predators to cull the numbers. :evilgrin:

@Gordi: Or, while we are at it, you could model a White Russian polar bear, waiting for penguins on vacation.
