@piet: looks like you studied the actual flaking process or have experience making pressure flaked tools. nice depiction. I used to make such tools, but developed repetitive strain injury from the jarring, and the tool driving into my palm when I removed a flake.
(edit) once I accidentally drove an obsidian spar about an inch into my leg while doing some percussion flaking on a large piece. cleanest wound ever though! once I pulled it out, the wound closed right up, despite the severity. not suprising since obsidian is literally the sharpest material to be found on earth, and recently surgeons have been using scalpals made from it.

@modron

yes… I was bleeding too. It is realy difficult hitting the right points to get the right shape and sharpness. And this little pices are extremely sharp and sneaky :smiley: But it is fun. Best thing to do is to use some strong leather for protection i think.:cool:
(edit) the most unpleasant were this very small cuts on fingertips that I realized realy too late…not bleeding but it hurt.

I really liked @YAFU 's attention to detail. I think their slogan for the teleport company was clever.

The entries were really great this week guys!

*BTW: sorry I couldn’t enter anything for the last couple of weeks! I was SUPER busy! :stuck_out_tongue:

Terraforming: World Changing Technology

Well, that week was close! So many entries only one or two votes apart… Nice job everyone - and thanks for the votes :slight_smile:

As this was my first ‘kind of realistic’ blender planet, I learned a lot this week. E.g. I didn’t expect a bump map on the procedural clouds to have that much effect. I hope I’ll remember that one the next time I need to build a planet. :slight_smile:

WEC 666, Enter if you dare! :ba:

Congrats Helge!

Congrats Helge, you get to pick the anticipated 666 topic! Looking forward to it.

Congrats Helge. And thanks DoriNori :slight_smile:
