Blender Questions and ZBrush Question

Hi, I have a few questions before I export this model to ZBrush

  1. I have a number of mesh objects for my ship. How do I group the objects so I can rotate the ship and all of it’s parts together? I tried joining the objects (option + J) but is there a better way to do it?C4D uses a “Nul” object so you put everything as a child of the Nul and rotate the nul. I Grouped the object (CTRL + G) but when I appended it and scaled it it wouldn’t scale. I then used the scale and typed in 0.5 but it only scaled a part of the object not the whole thing.

Does Blender have something similar?

  1. How do I keep the sharp edges on my model when exporting my model and importing into ZBrush

  2. I tried exporting a small test file as an .obj and when I imported it into ZBrush it crashed ZBrush. Does Blender not produce good models for importing into ZBrush. Any help to get my model from Blender to ZBrush would be appreciated.
