What do you think? Any suggestions?

You might want to drop a liquid cooler in there, But I’m an advocate for getting cpu heat out of the chassis as quickly as possible.

Any suggestion for a good liquid cooler?

I’m in doubt if it’s a good choice to get a 980 ti, a lot of people have slow render times with it. https://developer.blender.org/T45093

Maybe getting a Intel Xeon E5-2630 V3 2.4GHz 8-Core Processor and a 970 card instead?

I’ve never had a problem with Corsair liquid coolers, You will need to clean the radiator on it occasionally but they can normally be mounted where the cpu airbaffle would be.

Thanks for the reply, what do you think about the NZXT Kraken X41 106.1 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler?

I’m considering getting two gtx 970 instead of the gtx 980 ti. It only has 4 gb of vram but 2 cards are faster than the 980 ti according to blenchmark. I wonder how big of a scene I can render with 4 gb.
Furthermore, would two cards give me problems with cooling? Is water cooling necessary?

I have a gtx 970 g1 gaming and its perfect!

As for cooling, as long as you have a good case and a decent after market fan you will be fine.

I have corsair air 540 with a bunch of after market fans the temps never get too high.
