I am very intrigued by OpenVDB support in the latest Blender release and I am trying to reproduce this example: https://wiki.blender.org/index.php/User:Kevindietrich/OpenVDBRendering
I downloaded all files, opened .blend file and saw
The main node is not recognized. I have tried to compile Blender with OpenVDB and tried to use this PPA; however the result is identical.
On the other hand, OpenVDB smoke caching works:
Therefore, I guess Blender was compiled with OpenVDB successfully.
Can please someone confirm that the example file, provided on the wiki page mentioned above, does work? If it does not work for other people too, I should probably write to the development forum.
