is there a way to write images from render process in batch mode rendering?

Hi,

I want to save with help of an python snippet images from the render process in background mode without restarting the same rendering with a growing number of cycles to calculate.

I want to get these noisy pictures from render process in gui mode for example every 2 seconds. Is there a way to get these pictures without restarting the render process?
