Fermat - Told you so :D

Internet of the People’ Platform Fermat Exits ‘Stealth Mode’
A global ‪#‎blockchain‬ project that has been developed for two years in “stealth mode” called Fermat is publishing its white paper today introducing a true peer-to-peer internet and an online economy free from middlemen. The mobile application is currently in alpha testing and project says it has gained attention from “industry heavyweights.”

I talked about doing this over 4 years ago

The WISP (or Wireless Identification and Sensing Platform) sidesteps all the issues with finding wired power and adding bulky batteries to smart objects by harvesting power from radio waves.

It doesn’t even need any special wireless power equipment; just a regular off-the-shelf RFID transmitter. The WISP can pull enough power out of thin air to power a modest processor, but it’s not going to compete with your computer or even your smartphone.

The creators say it’s got about as much processing power as the Fitbit — enough to run sensors and transmit data.

Meshnet networks, or meshnets, are a form of intranet that doesn’t require a central router point. Instead of emitting from a single point, they’re distributed across an entire system of nodes. Accessing one is free—and doesn’t require the services of a telecom.

Amazing technology! thanks for sharing this information, i have never seen anything on this stuff before!

Also, Thanks for the link with the instructions on fabricating your own WISP, Sounds like it could be an interesting project to undertake
