interior scene renders very inefficiently

i am planning to do some tests on interior scenes and this one i did is very grainy even at 100 samples.
before i continue my tests, is there something i can do to tackle this problem? here is part of the result and the blend file attached.

He uses square samples, i get pretty nice results with portals. 4min @ 32 square samples on my crappy maschine.
Should be noise free with your 100 square samples

thanks. i did the glass material linked and it’s gotten much better. i’ll try again with portals

Do a combined bake of any flat surface that doesn’t have a glossy component. Say the walls and ceiling maybe. With a bake you’ll be doing a camera walk through. However, if a still is all you’re pursuing a bake is just an added step. But, I’ve had so much success with baking in Cycles I just had to bring it up.

That is soooo awesome Baking plus PBR for viewport.

Sorry I should have included this link.
