How to extrude multiple mesh without joining

Hello all,
I am new to blender. I want to extrude the SVG from illustrator in a cruve shaped and finally close the mesh.

I figured that I have to do multiple extrude and slightly narrow the face each time I extrude the face and finally merge the points.

  1. Is there an easier way to do it?

2a) If the answer to 1) is yes then how?

or

2b) If not, how do I extrude multiple meshes at once without joining, since I have to curve extrude it and if I join then the curve is only towards the centre point.

PS. I have tried MultiEdit add-on but it still joins the meshes before editing and I can only curve towards the one selected centre point, which ruins the multi-extrude.

Please help!

Many thanks for you help in advance.

The technique to close the open face really depends on its boundary shape. What kind of shape are you trying to face?

If its round and in a plane, you can E to extrude, Left mouse click to end Extrude function, Alt + M to join at the center. If its boundary is irregular like the boundary of letter M, you need to face them segment at a time.
