Furry Hand Problems

I am just getting the hang of adding fur to my character but am having problems with fur on his hands and feet, mainly around the main part of the hand/ feet and toes. I can’t seem to get a proper distribution. I am including a pic to explain it all. I am using an emitter of 2000 and a length of .20 for hair for short like fur. Any idea what may be going wrong? I have the hands and feet set for red totally in the weight painting area and I am expecting a total coverage but you can see what I am getting…sort of frustrated why I can’t get it to cover the entire hand or foot.

Show us your modifier stack, all your hair settings, do you have ngons in your mesh? (show us your mesh wireframe ). If yes then remove them hair doesn’t work well ngons.

I found the problem. I had some polygons that were turned the wrong direction and hair was growing inside the mesh. I guess I had ingrown hairs (a little levity). But got the problem solved. Thanks again for trying to help.
