A One Click Boundaries Selection Tool?

While Blender’s Advanced Selection/Boundaries function is very cool, but I’m used to 3Ds Max a single click boundaries selection tool which lets you select a specific boundary one at a time. Does Blender have a one-click boundaries selection tool?

Currently I’m using two steps method to do this. Select an edge and then do edge loop select.

Not sure it’s what you are asking for: to select an edge loop in one click you can press alt while selecting a single edge of the desired loop.
