Necroman

Hey everyone!

Haven’t been here in a while now. I am working on a little project of mine, for which I will post more WIPs soon, and I have run into a problem. I was kinda hoping to post here and that someone would respond me with a solution.

So anyway…

Here is my (unfinished) main character that I’ve dressed up in a sort of a poncho. Let’s not focus on his hood right now and the fact that it is not rigged to his head. What I’m interested in is why does the cloth simulation twitch so much and how do I counter it to have a smooth cloth simulation for animation?

If anyone would be nice as to point me in a direction of some tutorial, reading material, function, thread or an addon that has a fix for this I would really appreciate that. You would be saving my life

Hm, not sure, but this looks like a problem with the collision settings, and especially for the distance. Maybe you want to try different settings.

Almost looks like this one :stuck_out_tongue:

@@minoribus I have tried every function and every option in the properties panel of the cloth simulator. and have put it through most extreme and the lowest values and still have not found a solution. Most of the current settings work really well with test objects like spheres or boxes but for the life of me I can’t seem to find out why it has a problem with my character. With all the tweaking and testing I have gotten this far (as shown in the link below) and I guess it’s fine for now. I can probably continue to work on my scene but I would still like to find out whats causing the jitters.
