After downloading the Judy model made by Splatypi I tried to make some things to go along with it. Contrast was adjusted slightly and down-scaled from 2k in Gimp.

Was experimenting with the translucency shader, adding the shirt, and got a pretty nice result I think. Though it caused the render time to increase dramatically (2k render @ 100 samples = 19 hours on 4th gen Intel i7).

Cycles, 700 samples rendered @ 2k and downsized for the upload. About 45 min on an i7 4770.
