Hi, Using Cycles. I want the light from the sun lamp to be rendered. I have a lamp pointing at the camera and there’s a box in between. I want my scene to be filled with mist and the box to be backlit from the sun. I have the sunlight pointed straight at the camera but when I render I do not see the light. What am I doing wrong?
Because none of lamps count as a mesh. You could simply try faking it with a sphere and an emission node.
you could use volumetric spot light instead

You probably want god rays. Try placing a plane with lots of segments and lots of holes (a so called cookie) in front of the sun.
