Copying numeric data between objects.

-I blender, say I have two NURBS surfaces, or even mesh mode surfaces, being separate objects.
There is a way to shift-select points from separate objects and get a sub menu to appear
so that I can copy x or y or z point location data across, or all three, without linking
the two objects. How do I do that, again?

-Is it possible to link points inside one object, and not two separate objects?

Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V to copy/paste values

Explain what you mean

-I have hard that if you shift-select two different points, on one object, while in edit mode, it
is possible to bring up a context menu over the values area for the second point to copy across
values from the first, prior selected point. Without going <ctrl> + <c> or <ctrl> + <v>. Can someone
tell me how to do that?
