Basic Walk Cycle. What do you think?

This is my first walk cycle. What do you think can improve it? Also, what’s next? Female? run cycle? Fat guy? All of the above?

Looks good. There are a few things that come to mind when looking at it, but, instead of going through them all (I’m not completely sure if I’m at the stage to critique others animations), you should check out this free course.
It’s CG Cookies Animation Fundamentals course. I’ve just been going through it recently and I’ve learnt a whole lot of things so far.

It shows you how to do a ball bounce, walk cycle, run cycle and more.

Sorry if this is not what you’re looking for. Just thought I’d tell you it was there.

I can tell you right now that there is a short stop, in mid step, that makes it looks like the leg is broken. If you have a NLA Strip for the action, what you need to do is to get rid of that very last step so it can loop correctly. The next thing is you might want to make it first stand and then start walking to make it a bit more natural.

Okay, I think the extra frame issue is resolved. I attempted to start and stop the walk cycle. Also, I exaggerated the shoulder rotation and toned down the hip and chest rotations.

Let me know what you think.

Better. I personally think that it gives a more natural motion of movement instead of starting in mid step and go on from there. You can also take a look at the Blender Fundamentals in order to invoke a bit motion for weight shifting.
