HI all, well, I finished my first animation using Blenrig. Hope you like it.

It's done in Blender, and ORB for the displacement map baking.

amazing animation!!! I am completely grossed out by his dick though. would it be possible to make him so fat it covers his dick up, like family guy? that way I could show it to other people without feeling awkward.

Excellent animation work, it really is. Vaguely disturbing as well, though. Good job.

watchthis looked at his weiner. hahaha. His hair is too stiff though, and I think his penis would flap around quite a bit more with that amount of movement. The deformation and animation is amazing quality though, I'd expect nothing less from the the creator of blenrig.

you guys and his pee-pee, what, feeling insecure? I think it was hilarious. Although he is SUCH a bad dancer, but that is just like a dwarf would be. If was a Smurf, now, he would be an excellent dancer...and you would not have to worry about the pee=pee thing.

haha, thanks guys!!! There many things that could surely be better, like the hair, too stiff. But I was in a hurry, I wanted to make it for the Siggraph call. By the way, I think I didn't make it....
Besides, I wanted to finish the animation and deliver the first BlenRig results to the community, and the rendering was really slow, so I decided not to mind about certain details.

Thanks for the comments!!!

Hahahahaha... have your balls dropped yet? I thought the hair looked nice, but is there a way for it to be affected by movement? I don't know that much about the physics in blender.

Wow....VERY impressive rigging and skinning. The movements were fluid and realistic. Definite kudos, as well as 5 stars!! Bravo!

I don't think physics are really necessary for animating the hair, as it can be perfectly done by animating the curve objects that influence the hair strands.

that rig is a monster. how many bones you have to move when you animate him?

nice feel.
some of the movements could've been snappier.

Simply amazing. How easy would it be to fit that rig on another (humanlike) character?

www.jpbouza.com.ar

You can download BleRig from there. There's a manual included. (to Musk)

Basse: when you animate the rig you have to care about just the basic bones. All the other extra or muscle bones are constraint driven.

Thanks!

Edit: the animation is ''shape key'' free, that means that its fully based on bone deformation, including tha facial animation.

jpbouza,
How did you get the mocap sensors on me the other night? I was out there, dancing in front of my wife, trying to look cool, and you recorded it somehow

Seriously, that's really cool and natural looking, man. No shape keys whatsoever, huh? Now I have to pick apart your rig and learn constraints!!

Congratulations and thank you for making my morning!!

Ditto. It acts like your site is overloading in transfers.
