Hello everyone!

Well after A LOT of procrastination and too much frustration with recording issues, I'm pleased to announce that my training DVD for modeling the female body is now available for preorder! The DVD is very, very close to completion and will start shipping in two weeks or so. I've worked hard to make this DVD even better and more helpful than the previous one so I hope you all enjoy it!

For those of you that haven't purchased the female head DVD, this new one is being released as a companion DVD, such that it picks up where the other one left off, using the head model as a starting point.

Head on over to the DVDs page for complete info about the DVD, prices, and to check out some screenshots and a sample video.

Good news! Looking into it now. Just finished modelling a female character, be interesting to see the comparison for next time. Cheers for producing such a resource for the wider Blender community.

Incidentally - is that the Aneta (I think) set from 3d.sk as reference? It's the reference set I just used.

looks interesting. I think I'll hold out for the bundle as I don't have the head modelling one either. I need to get another job - there are like 4-5 training dvds on my wish list. lol. Now I know what crack addicts go through to get their fix.

will you release anything that has something to do with materials ? i mean a DVD or a tutorial which is just dedicated to the topic how to create nice skin with procedurals, with images; how to use SSS the right way and so on.

nice dvd, i ll have to get some bucks to get it

I'll second that.
Althought the price might be a very little bit to high (try $35 because $10 is pretty much), I'm sure it will be worth it. (although I dont have PayPal).
I sure learned a lot from the Adrianna video tutorials you posted for free, and although I haven't had a completed head, I did learned much of it.

And like rellendom said, texturing/materials will boost up the sale too (I think).
Especially with SSS it can be turned into a very realistic representation of a human.
Perhaps that you can record it as a supplemental download.

Anyhow, (not without *sslicking)I can say that your video's are great, and a pleasure to watch (although the voice on the Adrianna was weird, but I know that it was just due to the fact that it was free).

It would be very awsome if you did:
- Some Industrial scene (like some in 3d Palace.com)
- Car Modelling
- Animal modelling

If someone can explain it in the way you do, I certainly will be very delighted (not only me though):P.

I think it would be more important if there would be a general approach how you can model things. I understand that you cannot teach things that practise does but anyway many of us (ME, too!!!!) need more basics.
on the whole a agree with you ChevyVanDudeG20

Yeah ok, thats true.
But since a human is organic, and a car not (as the industry as well), it would be indeed a good idea to either make a video instruction about a basic approach to inorganic modelling or just a car video instruction, but with general tips and strategies.

Beside Johnathan's video's (DVD) there is only one more DVD for Blender in total (Mancandy FAQ by Bassam), making these DVD's very unique.

And when I started Blender, I more thought Blender was a nice program to start learning modelling.
That however changed it after watching the Adrianna video's.
And OK, you might not get a model very exactly, with military precision, but, certainly as being a free program, it is a great program.

I hope, when I have enough practice, I will be able to do Dutch tutorials as well.
And certainly after my website launched (but no content on the site yet), I'm (for some reason) more eager to finish as a pro.

Yes, nice one Chevy. I'm guessing Felix already knows this. (Do you know what Chevy means in Bundjalung?)
Back on topic, this looks like a great package, even given the 'boutique' price, but I'l be awaiting the bundle before I buy as well.

I think the only thing bothering me is that it isn't availible thru the Blender e-Shop.
And by what company is it distributed?
DHL? (yay, we got DHL in the netherlands)
UPS (yay, we got that too)
or more an american company?
The main concern that it won't be delivered.

I have hopes of getting it into the Blender e-Shop at some point... I've talked with Ton about it a little bit, but we've never reached a conclusion fully.

I don't think the dvd will have any trouble getting to you, I've now shipped out almost a hundred dvds all over the world and never had any of them fail to get to the recipient : )

OK, but it wasn't that I didn't trust you, but there are two reason:
1. Internet is full of nasty people, THEY do can make any online order a pain in the ***.
2. Private reasons.
