For those of you that saw my thread over in the Finished Projects: http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?t=116198 I'm announcing today what that character was for! I'm taking a step back from my previous Training DVDs, which cover modeling the Female Head and Female Body, and are both fairly advanced, to a much more beginner-based project.

As of a few weeks ago, I'm smack in the middle of a three-part training DVD series on Introducing Character Creation in Blender. These DVDs will cover the whole character creation process starting at modeling, going through materials and texturing, and then even getting down to rigging and animation. The whole works.
They'll be setup as follows:

DVD 1: Introducing Character Modeling in Blender
DVD 2: Texturing your Character in Blender
DVD 3: Animating your Character in Blender

Below I've included the outline for the first DVD so that you can get an idea on what it'll cover, and, as a teaser, I've also decided to let all of you watch the first video off the first DVD: "Getting Started: exploring the 3D world". The link can be found at the bottom of this post.

Enjoy!

nice work mr_bomb!
one question and one report:
question: my dream training dvd would be something along the line of a joan d`arc style tutorial, so modeling, uv-maping, material setup, rigs, lighting, etc.. a full human character within blender. can we expect something like this in the future? or a continued training of your impressive human character modeling dvd`s? thanks in advance for any reply.
report: im using ie7, and i get a forbidden response clicking on the link or on the last picture.
(edit) oh, never mind, the forbidden stuff works now, though strange :/

Although I'd like to do a FULL human character creation DVD I don't know if it'll happen... I've got a few others planned before I get to that. We'll see how things go, though
