hi alt_ligury,

I downloaded the racing game and without a doubt this is the best racing game I've seen in the Blender game engine. It ran on my computer (winxp and ati video card) without problem. Everything works and works well. The car, the track and the car handling are all top notch.

The only problem that I had was that I couldn't figure out how to turn mipmapping on. I just don't like the way distant textures look without mipmapping.

Great job.

Thank's for your look on this job
For the probleme of horizon mipmap, I didn't find a pleasant solution to keep clear vision of the map and prevent curves , it's really strange, especially with using alpha .png texture.
Maybe turn-on Mipmaping and adding some road signs arrows, can be more explicit

There's two big problem to give .blend(s) with the game (although I totally agree on the principle ) at first it's one of my first game with gameblender, made two years ago, and at this time my python was really poor and vague ("inélégant" in french) and the game was composed of 4 interactive .blends, elaborate at start to run under windows os only, so it can't run as 1 global blend and at my opinion, really hard to rewrite simply as that

Then I'm not a expert of mac and linux os, so it's really hard for me to give a full feature game under this plateform, so it's not really a gift to ask someone to make this, many personnal gimmicks, and it was not élaborate at start for facilitate team work
(I speak about racing game, maybe, it will be more simple to give a billard .blend directly playable)

(Sorry in advance for my very bad language, I practice very little English common )

Last week, I gave this thread 5 stars (the racing game rocks!). The stars aren't showing. Anyone know why? (If I try to rate it now, it says that I've already voted.)

I believe multiple people have to give stars before they show up.

Ok, thank's for all your comments

After received mail; just little word about differents langage of those games, especially about german and spanish, it's just approximate translation with an automatic translator, so sorry for german and spanish user if menus aren't really accurately reflects of french or english

But, I would like to clarify one point, it's easily customizable.

Just go on the 'lang' folder of install and open this two files:
- lang_list.xml
- english.xml (for exemple)

Translate the english.xml respecting the number of the line and (approximatively) the length of the word in the langage of your choice (latin characters of course!.. ^^)

If you (for example) translate the file in Italian, save it as:
- Italian.xml

Now, add or replace the name of your file in the lang_list.xml file
like that:

Code:
lang_list french.xml english.xml deutch.xml Italian.xml
(four language with your add)
or:

Code:
lang_list english.xml Italian.xml
(just two langage in the list of choice)
All of this games can support up 8 different language.

So, if some of yours are in the mood to correct or translate the game in there own native langage, I'll integrate it with pleasure in a new install of game, just give me your file by private message or in this topic
