@ Mortiz, there are no qualifying rounds, the competition is open to all, and has already started. you just need to get an entry in by Sept 1st!
@Alekzsander, this year we have not done a WIP thread system. I did one a few years ago but it was a huge amount of effort to maintain. The best place would be to look through the WIP section, or the focused Crit section, there will be titles such as BWC.

Well, I don´t know if this Thread is still allive, but I got another question! Will it be allowed to enter both categories (unbiased, open), with the same work, but rendered with two different renderers? For Exampel Luxrender and Blender internal!?

It is not written in the rules that you cannot do that. But I think that as Alltaken will read you post he will write to the rules that it is forbidden
 .In most art competitions it is allowed to post more artworks by one man, but it is also mentioned that it should be totally differents artworks.

Any word on when a submission form will be available? The site says beginning of august, and it would appear that they are way overdue for having it up.

you are right, it is a bit overdue!
Will be up ASAP. Moritz, that would not be a problem! I am happy to have both artworks submitted. They are two different restrictions so should come out rather differently.

I recently submitted a entry for the BWC 2010, but I made a few changes and would like to replace ... which is the best way? - I fill a new form on the official website of the BWC? - I can send via email? if so, what is the address to send the image.
