Hi,

This is another texturing exercice.

I was inspired by a photo I took some times ago in Liège (Belgium), I liked the association of the message and the environment.

Modelled with Blender
Textures based on photos of various materials and adapted for UV mapping
Rendered with Yafray

C&C are of course welcome

Semi B&W

wow that's really good. a few things look odd, maybe it's a little grainy, but, overall it looks spot-on.

you should lower the level of scene realism, because now, as is, che poster looks a little photoshoped in comparison to the rest.

Another option would be to put some marks on the poster to make it's condition match that of the area surrounding it. But like this it kinda makes the poster stand out. Or maybe that's just how it was in the picture you took. I dunno.

Really good though. Nice work.

Thanks Coalth,

The smooth settings were quite low and I used the medium quality in Yafray settings. I will start a new rendering with better settings but I need several hours

Thanks Tedi,

I had also this feeling, I will try to increase the sharpness of the poster to reduce this contrast.

Wonderful piece of art, as usual, enricoceric. I absolutely love the detail you put in your images, all that dirt and worn stuff, makes it look real.

Lower part is oversaturated... other than that - real nice 4* work.

Looks very nice. I'd suggest cropping out the bottom portion of the image and focusing in on the wall itself, as the garbage isn't the same quality as the rest of the scene. Cool idea, and very nicely done.

I simply used a sun light with an HDRI image but I will change the light settings to get softer shadows.

Thanks for your comments,

The topic has been updated with a semi-B&W version.

I will improve the bottom part of the scene to increase details and reduce the over exposed surfaces.

Improvements [B&W] make a great difference. The focus on the posters works = just terrific. Well done!

Improve your materials, Tohse muffin thing should be dirtier and grimy-er.
One of the Boxes is bulging more then I think it should so it looks strange.
Soft Shadows as well and then it will be almost perfect
