Ok guys, here are all the entries the top 50% of the entrants will move on to the next round for some big prizes, so vote well.

To vote (since the polls only go to 10 choices now) you will need to PM me "Alltaken" .

I will graph the results at the end and display them at the forum

List your three favorite images in the order of

1st
2nd
3rd

and then list up to 8 more people who you think should go to the second round.

Voting closes in a week. (i'll add links to larger images, and pre-post pro images later today, to see these now, visit the entry thread or http://battles.mudpuddle.co.nz/index...nails&album=13 )

Alphabetical order.

Well done all! (except for me for not reading Alltakens message, please delete this)

Edit: never mind, the others are putting their votes in this thread, so I'll follow suit:

1) GrapeApe <- Superb quality and expressions
2) Sago <- I'm noticing an @ndy feel in your materials?
3) Radulan <- Very epic feel, for such a short time period

8 Others who should go through
BackiZ is an amazing artist, but I don't think organics is his thing
Bogey spent a lot of time on the environment, but didn't get my vote because of lighting and composition
Duffator - hmm, not really sure what was going on there, but the materials are awesome
Modron could have spent more time on plot, but the quality of the cg is very good
RobertT awesome modelling as always, but please scale back on the chrome next time O.o
sgbonza would have come 4th place in my list- v. nice
Vidar - lighting could have used a bit of work, but that expression is great and the materials are top notch
Wu just because he distracts the opposition (oh, and his entry was actually quite good)

3. sgbonza

I was kinda torn between sgbonza and slepnyrl for that last vote but sgbonza's cat was too cute to leave out of the running. Really nice work from everyone else and a lot of effort was obviously put in, but those three made me smile and that's worth a lot in my book.

Sago: Nice entry. That skin shader/lighting setup is tops. I won't say anything about the guy in the lower left if you share a textured sphere with that skin and a similiar lighting and render setup.

Robert: Seeing your images like this and the F1 on a monitor does not do them any justice. You get lost in the details You should print some of these out as posters so one could actually see all the insane detail you add.

Wu: you get my final vote just for all the effort you put in... painting and scanning, you crazy fool. (not to mention all the hype)

since for a strange reason I refuse to vote for myself.

Sago: excellent expression... Good example of simple yet true.
RobertT : Ambitious, Great textures, lots of work was put in there.
Backiz: Nice pun, and well executed.

and the 8 others (Mainly chosen because I'm curious what they would make.)
Amped: enjoyable, yet not eye catching...
4Daniel: Personally I love the mask... simple but adequate composition.
GrapeApe: Nice attempt at a photo that might actually be taken.. on another world.
MassTA: Very well done hair and realistic, yet the composition is flat.
Modron: very high detail textures, and good modeling, yet the pose...
Wu: Textures are very nice, the background is realistic, but your modeling and composition need improvement.
yogyog: very good tortured bird, composition could be better.
Forte: Gotta love the phylum Mollusca.
