Hey everyone,

I've finally got around to recording a video tutorial on modeling the human ear. Although it says that it is, this is not the tutorial that'll be found on my training dvds as I plan to rerecord the tutorial due to some problems along the way. I hope that people are able to find this helpful at least in some ways and please let me know what you think.

I very much enjoyed your face tutorial (Adrianna), it's the best tutorial I've ever seen. Thanks for that one.

I hope this ear tutorial gets hosted somewhere, I'm sure it would be a great help for someone like me :>

I'd be more than happy to host any and all video tutorials that you may have at my web site. Just let me know where I can download what you have to put on my site.

Probably the best and easiest to follow ear tutorial I've come across with. Mr. Bomb, you make modeling in Blender look so easy. (Which is most likely among the reasons why Blender is attracting a lot of people, noobies and pros alike. There's certainly things Blender has other commercial apps lack like being able to extrude a vert!)

I've modeled ears before following old tutes out there till I went crazy and just did it on my own. Although my final modeled ear looked very real, the mesh was a real mess just like the old tutes out there. Yours doesn't have a lot of wires, which makes it appear very clean and thus easy to follow. I'm absolutely sure this will become another Mr Bomb classic just like the Adrianna tute. I'll keep the tute for reference. Thanks for sharing a very imporant piece of the human head puzzle.

here's another mirror

http://eaemedia.com/blender/tutorials/female_ear.mp4

nice tutorial!

I have been looking for and trying to figure out how to create a small window or overlay that will display keypresses and mouse presses as you are modeling. I think it would help big time, especially for deaf people... it would also save you the trouble of announcing any keystrokes. I'll let you know if I find a solution.

Just an idea... maybe run a keylogger and then use the text output as a subtitle track(like .srt)? It'd take some editing, but I don't see a reason why that wouldn't work.

Man... a non-nefarious use for a keylogger. Who saw that coming?

Thanks for mirroring this man, I appreciate it. That'd be awesome to have the keystrokes recorded automatically, although it won't be much of a problem to add subtitles.

I started Modeling about 3 years. I used many 3D tools, but "Blender 3D" the free tools is extreamly useful for modeling realistic and both cartoonic carecters. The interface is pretty excelant. Shortly i will upload my .blender file on my website: www.marlopax.com

thank u everybody

I have a couple of questions about that video tutorial:

1. With which hotkey have you had that editing mode on in which you can edit directly "splines" of subsurf, not just solid meshes????? It would be VERY useful for me to know that!

2. Do you use some kind of smoothing with vertices?

3. What the other tricks do you have? Have you done tutorial about those tools?

Sorry if this seems to be noobish reply, but I searched those Blender Documentation Volumes and some threads here also without finding answer. It would be good if someone could gather some most useful tools of blender under one "sticky" thread?
