AnimationMentor rigs removed on request from AnimationMentor.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Are you one of them who sometimes check AnimationMentors website (http://www.animationMentor.com ), and fancy there animations? (I am)
And would you like to try making some of the same animations like them?
Ive have made some of the AnimationMentor guys in blender, and they are free to use, ect ect. I don't think that I am going to make the more advanced models with eyes and stuff, But for now, there is this fully rigged character that is seen often on there website.
If you got linux, and would very much like to see there site (http://www.animationMentor.com ), but can't because that you don't got Flash, when you go to the front side where it says "you neeed the latest flash player" copy and paste http://cl1p.net/animationmentorhack to the browser, and your in, thanks to Lancer

REMOVED!´::

YES! Finally A host for my blends! Ive used
"Puplic Uploader" by Polorix. So thanks to him
http://uploader.polorix.net/index.php

If someone would like to make some other Animationmentor guys, You can just post them here, and ofcourse I will not take the credits for those.

And one more thing. If there is any bugs (I think there is) then you are welcome to Mail me at Lassebrunt@gmail.com or PM me. You may also fix it by yourself if you want to.

Thanks

That model looks fairly accurate to what they have- I'll take a look at the rig later. Nice job, and thanks for the link.

EDIT: You should fix your link, it leads to http://blenderartists.org/forum/www.AnimationMentor.com

Lasphere: I haven't tried the rigs yet, but I think I'll add them to the list of rigs for next round of anim challenge.

The models are a excellent reproduction! I think the rigs leave alot to be desired, however. For example, the legs bend backwards when you move there IK handles. Also, there should be a way to move the hips without moving the legs.

The effort is definately appreciated, but the rigging just isn't there yet. Keep going! These could be excellent resources for the animation community.

Now I got this prop.. If only the hips should move it would look like this:

Not good.. So how should I make the hips move correct? I know I could add a ampty, like ive done in "Little Animation mentor guy" but I don't think that would work out here... any suggestions?

I'm a bit annoyed at the way AnimationMentor have made out that you need the very latest version of flash to see their site (which isn't available for Linux), so I've made a quick hack which bypasses this untrue restriction. Once visiting their site and finding the "you need the latest flashplayer" page, copy and paste the code found at [deleted] to make their site think you have the right Flash version.

Last edited by Lancer; 04-May-09 at 23:07. Reason: Newer flash now available, so I don't have to chase some moron who thinks they're "l337" altering publicly editable text.

Well, shouldn't matter which OS. It's JavaScript to be pasted into your browser Address Bar once the main page is already loaded. Basically it's the same code the browser runs if when they detect you you the correct flash version. I don't think you do really need the latest version. The version they want (version 8 or 9) hasn't been even made for us Linux users so therefore I made the code available. I made / tested the given code using Firefox.

played with it a bit, for some reason the knee keeps bending the wrong direction, not sure it if is my lack of familiarity with using rigs or an error in the rig.

Ok, I'm working on improving the rigging of these characters a bit. I'll post an update sometime.
