Hey everybody (I’ll try to keep this short),

6 years ago I started this website with a friend. I’ve had some very nice times managing this website, but the time has come to say goodbye (what a cliché).

I’ve decided to stop managing this website. The reasons are diverse, but mostly I’ve just grown out of it after running a website for this long.

Anyways, don’t worry this website won’t go down just yet! Roel Spruit (Goofster) who has been an administrator here for a long time will take over completely. He hopes to work on Blender Artists on a solid basis. I know he has some pretty nice plans he’s working but you will hear more about that from him. But Blender Artists will definitely stay online!

Finally, I would like to thank everyone who helped out over the years. Of course in particular the Administrators and Moderators, and also all the members of Blender Artists.
Thank you guys for some really nice times I had with this community!

Goodbye,
Timothy Kanters

Timothy, you started something really great. Thank you, and good luck out there.

Goofster, I can't imagine this community being left in better hands than yours.

Hugs and kisses to both of you!

Hey, Kib....er, Timothy! It doesn't seem enough to say after all you've done for us, but a million thanks for all the hard work, and for creating a place where the Blender community has thrived. Good luck with whatever endeavors you embark on.

BlenderArtists withouth Timothy is like... A taco without lettuce. It's still great, but that little extra, that makes it perfect, is no longer there. Haha, that was corny.

Are you going to show us your mad art skills now? Taking off for some amazing new project?

This community has meant a lot to me, it's a great thing, and you are a great part of it.
I'd say I hope your successors are as adept at this as you are, but there's no doubt in my mind.

Thank you, Timothy. I think this deserves a sig change...

Sounds sad Timothy, but yeah it's a hack of a work to keep the forum nicely going and moderate or admin it at the same time and I can imagine you want to do something else as well. Btw what exactly are you going to do now? you found some work for which you have studied?

I hope we can see you once in a while on irc or maybe another blender conference. I missed you this year, I asked Roel if you were comming, but he wasn't sure about it. Anyways good luck and thanks for being the founder and creator of this great forum the past years, as well for creating this really cool community which is really unique. I just can't imagine what blender would be without this forum.

Thanks so much for starting this site, for all your work over the years - and that it's not going away, too!
