Interesting method.

One thing I noticed was that you devoted three steps to applying a uniform scale to an object when really it could have been done in one.

s,x,.1
s,y,.1
s,z,.1

will yeild the same results as just typing s,.1. Then from there you can type s,z,2.5, get the same results and save two steps.

Thanks for pointing out the scaling thing; I'll update it as soon as I can.

Also, you said, "interesting method" which, to me, implies that there are others. If so, would you mind telling me what other methods are possible? I know that you could IPO it, but (without counting) my guess is that IPO would take more steps. Thoughts?

Thanks again!

Actually, manual keyframing is the only other method I can think of. I think in the end it would take longer, since you'd have to tweak everything to get decent results, while you can just let the game engine do everything then scale the 'baked' IPOs to fit within your time frame.

@dwmitch: Thanks for the update. I'll have to look into keyframing, it sounds a bit more powerful than baking IPOs.

@ecgilboy: Cute. It'd be neat to hear a kind of "blouoopp" sound when the ball splashes into the liquid. Glad you enjoyed the tutorial.

I tested out an Intel Core 2 Duo using this tutorial. At 1 minute per frame, it took about 250 minutes to render.

This tutorial was great, I never knew how to do water and fluids.

@Thangalin; Your one was sexy. Allthough it does look like the liquid goes out on an angle and comes back on an angle
Heres my one

This is my first post on the forum. I was looking at other peoples work, pretty good stuff.

I have found everyone here to be both quick to respond and quite kind. I trust you'll have the same experience. Glad you enjoyed the tutorial; if you're new to Blender you might enjoy some of the others I have written.

Thanks for posting your animation!
