Very well done. The video editing is top notch, the whole presentation is great. Only thing is we don't see that many projects. Tin toys, a few pixel style models but hey, the whole presentation is a piece of blender animation.

ColeZero: I'm glad to hear that because I made a strong synching work... btw..Peace Orchestra rocks!

Edehem: I'm agree with you, but I sincerely preferred to put a few good-crafted works rather than lots of works. For example, I could put lots of arch previz works to "fill" the reel, but this time by bet it was just for the tin and pixel toys. In the other hand I wish to put another more experimental styles such as the final "subliminal" imaginery.

In other words, I want to mean that it's a question about quality and theme rather than quantity.

by the way, you can also check another pasts works in my past folio:

http://www.efedoce.com/past/

...and grab the PDF (cameo inside included!) to get a full view of my work.

Thanks for the replies guys

Well done Chronoh!
I like the models and the music, but the more great is the rhythm and timing of the video .
How do you made the robot's liquid transformation? I like it

Hey 8tintin!,

thanks for viewing the work

The robot actually doesn't transform into liquid, but get into some kind of pool...at least that was my intention. However I'm agree with your lecture of this part of the animation

So I wish to put some screenshots in order to get a full view of the trick:

1.The main animation:

Macro (the bot) gets inside the pool (a white bucket). No fluidsim at this .blend, just pure animation and sound synching.

2.fluid simulation:
A fluid simulation was made in a separated .blend
Basically it consists in a little pool ubicated into a big space. By this way we can avoid the fluid's ceil collision.

http://www.efedoce.com/show/fluid.jpeg

3.Node compositing:
the main animation + the fluidsim combined with nodes makes the final shot.

Hi, chronoh!

Its a really good reel. You have strong stills with YafRay (I love your tin toys, btw), and the reel has an excellent editing.

Considering the requests for the Project Peach, I think it was missing some true character animation work, with lipsync, acting, weight demonstration... Also showing your skills in character rigging I think would be a plus.

5 stars for your reel alone. 4 stars for your reel in conformity to the requests of the project.

(but who am I to say that? Ton, Sago, Andy and Lyubomir are the ones with the final word... =D)

Cheers

Wow. Way cool!
only a couple of suggestions.
It takes a while to get started, so it feels a little long. The syncing with the music is great, but I would take the flickering of the stills down WAAAAAY a lot. So they would still flicker, but the opacity would only have a range to move of like 20% or so.
I like the technical difficulties part, but the hold after that is too long.
Overall really cool reel and really good stuff!
I love the vector-ish animations.

I almost wish you'd make a tutorial on them.

Hey,

Thanks again for the feedback guys

gaalgergely: yes... you right, isn't the end of the world, because for the other hand I have now a demoreel (not before) and I'm starting to get some job offers.

elGordo: thanks man

Virgilio: yes I know that it's a "fake" point...I don't have any bunny or animal rigged or animated, because I like it to start my first animation exercises with this kind of minimalistic characters (I never animated before), and trust me...it's very fun. BTW, you can find a little peek of the rigs inside the .PDF

CoreyAvitar: the only thing that I had very clear from the start was the fact that the music rules over the images. I tried to take some compromise with the music and I let the music mark the timing. For other way, I think that the start has the needed timing to create some kind of expectation. About the flicker, yes, you're right, maybe be it's a strong flicker...I hope that nobody get's an epilepsia attack seeing my reel!

So, thank you very much for the feedback and the cheers... and expect many work soon at my website.

Greets!

Brilliant, it looked proffessional but the music integration is worth 5 stars on its own.

A minor crit is that it is a shame you only get to see stills of your work a bit of movement there would be ideal.

TheAnimal: I wish to move the other still work, but think that I made the whole reel + website + PDF portfolio just in 2 weeks...so I didn't have time to create more animation footage ;S
