Ha. First. Although I won't have much time this weekend.

<<EDIT>> will using blender's raytracer be considered pure? or does it not count because it's the CVS version?

Hell in an ice block; if this doesn't fit the theme, I don't know what does.
Rated PG for mild Profanity.

Hell has frozen over, and most people have not been effected. The eskimos however have realized that suddenly they have no reason to fear hell! The eskimos have begun the largest crime spree in history!

I think this is my final version. Its a pure entry, done completely in blender. I even used blender for the thumbnail instead of resizing the original.

Well, this is my "When hell freezes over" version:
The thing in the middle is the "lake of fire" from the nirvana song, frozen (yes i know it´s a cover).

I know it´s not a winner... but competing is more important then winning!

*edit: woops nearly forgot to add a thumb, and some very slight blur added in ps (i hope you don´t mind).

I am in. That's gonna be my very first time I'll enter the WC. I have a couple of ideas but I am not sure if I can get it done by the deadline.

By the way, should all images be done only in blender or can I also use another program like Paint Shop Pro for some blurness FX and stuff like that?

Adding blur is ok, so is a touch of noise, but don't go too nuts with the post processing if you wish to fall within the pure catagory. Open entries can get votes too, it's just slightly less likely. Open entries have won the WC before though so I'm not suggesting that it can't happen.
<edit>( btw, I used to use GIMP to add noise,...but Desoto and Theeth set me straight,...just put some noise on a transparent plane, and stick it in front of your camera. )
