Well, I feel that I have done all that I need to do on this, so I consider it finished.

[edit]Eyes fixed and did some more colour corrections and adjustment in Photoshop[/edit]

Some color correction and noise added in Photo Shop. Other than that, this is a straight Blender Render.

Thanks to everyone for the comments and crits in the WIP thread.

A huge thanks goes to TorQ for providing the UV unwrap for this. Without that, this textured version would not be possible.

If anyone is interested, I can post the texture maps, (a lot smaller versions), for you to see as well. Originals are 2400x1600 resolution.

Again, thanks for looking and thnaks for all the comments.

That is just excellent, dude. Nice job all around. If I were to suggest anything, I'd say maybe make the eye more watery.

Very nice, very nice indeed.

The bumpmapping and skin texture is exelent, only thing i don't like for some reason is the eyes, maybe the spec is too high, but otherwise no other crits.

Great model, great texture. As if it came straight from ILM. Only the eye looks somehow strange.

Okay, I'll see what I can do about the eyes. Will fix that tomorrow.

I'll post some low res maps for you all tomorrow as well to take a gander at.

Thanks for all the comments.

Great result! I know you were saying people weren't posting much in the other thread, but we were still watching The textures came out beautifully. About the eye, a couple of probs with is are:

* The specular highlight is much too big, and the way it's spreading looks like the eye is pointed in the centre, rather than spherical.

* Also, it doesn't seem to have much depth - it doesn't have an illusion of refraction. When light passes through an eye, it refacts through the lens on the front and spills out on the opposite side. The classic 'pixar eye' setup is a way to fake it, by letting the light pass through and hit the indented part below the surface. Hard to explain what I mean.

Eyes have always given me trouble in the past too, so I feel your pain I'd love to see some of those maps too!

I think the "it" is, that the pupil is much too big. The smaller the pupil, the bigger the effect of looking evil. Perhaps you could add some color (red) to the pupil.
Though it's an awesome piece of work. Very elaborated!

Thanks again for all the nice replies and comments on this. I appreciate it.

I will not get to fix the eyes today as It is snowing like a buggar, I'm at home cause the rods are a bitch and the power cord for my laptop is at work. So I don't have enough battery juice to do it. Likely tomorrow.

Here is the all the image maps I used for the texturing. I also have a slight Cloud procedural texture on him as well.

Thanks again.
