I have bought a Ati Radeon 9800 Pro, but now blender doesnt work like it worked before. Before i have had an Geforce 4 Mx 440 and it worked fine.
Now at the beginning, when i start blender its ok but 5 min later it becomes more and more slower for example: when i click the middle mouse button to move the view i have to clock on it let it clicked a short time before i can move the view. Does any1 have the same problem or an solution for this? Thx for all answers! |

I dont realy know so much about this things but i did a thing that made blender go much faster on my computer.
klickon the desktup and then propertys then klick on settings, and advansed, and then klick on the name of your 3d card, and then more propertys, then OpenGL-settings,now look fore a place where it says Vertikal synk: , turn that off, thn it will runn much faster. i dont know if it works on your computer but mehbe

%| Ahhh, why did you post this on the GameEngine section. Ah wells, no biggy. Hey check out this post on the topic, pretty recent. http://www.elysiun.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20840.
I have an ATI also. Same problem as yours. Lol, if you don't want to switch, the only solution is to find the correct old version of the ATI drivers that allow ATI to work with Blender. Check out the post and you'll see what I'm talking about. Also, another solution, although more annoying would be to save your work every 4 or so minutes, close Blender and then reopen the application again, lol. Hmm, I have a ATI Radeon on my labtop, but Blender seems to work perfectly on it. Curses, it just won't work on my desktop, and the desktop, is about 2 times better than the laptop in all respects. Ah wells, good luck on you problem. Jason Lin |

same problem here man, there is a solution (may not work depending on how much your computer needs the card) you can go into your properties, then go into your ati card settings, and turn up the openGL setting from quality to performance, and then also turn DOWN the slider showing how much the card affects your computer, this may result in bad after effects though so only do it if your know what your doing.
